Greg Poole
Principal
Greg, a seasoned Minerals Geologist, has over 40 years of hands-on experience spanning continents like Australia, South Africa, China, India, and Poland. His expertise shines in coal and gas exploration, development, and production, backed by a track record of success in various managerial roles. He has led diverse teams across companies of all sizes, from startups to industry giants like BHP Billiton. Notably, Greg's recent positions include GM Gas Utilisation at WDS Limited, Asset Leader at Molopo Energy, and Manager of Exploration and Gas Utilization at BHP Billiton. Greg's contributions are not confined to management; he is actively engaged in gas-related research through ACARP, focusing on underground coal mine gas drainage. His project management prowess shines through overseeing numerous initiatives, including coal and coal seam gas exploration projects and the management of underground coal geological services and gas drainage teams. His leadership has been pivotal in driving innovation and success in coal seam gas production.

He utilises RTMC, micro KPI, and probabilistic risk analysis to optimise drilling performance and mitigate risks. His experience spans well planning automation and operational support for P&A, workovers, drilling, and seismic planning. Ronan has a diverse background, having worked as a Rig Operations Geologist in the Sydney and Bowen Basins and as a geotechnical geologist assessing risk for council approvals. He is committed to ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations that deliver optimal results.
John Martens
Land Liaison Officer
John is a seasoned land liaison officer with over a decade of experience in the CSG sector. His deep understanding of land access, community engagement, and stakeholder management has been instrumental in building positive relationships between industry and landowners. Prior to his career in land liaison, John spent 30 years in rural banking, honing his communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. He is a skilled user and consultant for geological and mine planning software, including the MINEX suite, and has extensive experience in coal resource reporting across the globe.
