Example report
See what the plan actually looks like.
A 15 page worked example of a decommissioning and rehabilitation report for a Surat Basin gas field. The same structure we build for real portfolios.
What's in it
- A liability register across 292 wells and bores, with status, class, unit cost and planned P&A year for each
- A 20 year schedule sequenced block by block, with the shut-in backlog pulled forward to share rig mobilisation
- A bottom-up cost estimate broken into 13 cost elements, built to AACE Class 3 for wells and Class 4 for facilities
- The bridge from estimate to balance sheet: undiscounted, escalated, NPV and P90, and what each number is actually for
- Financial provisioning, including the gap between scheme assurance and whether the operator can fund the tail
- Completion criteria that determine when a site leaves the register, which is where schedules usually slip
- Sensitivities showing what deferral, escalation and rig rates each do to the number
Worth saying plainly
The field, the operator, the wells and every dollar figure in this report are fictional. It is a worked example built to show structure and reasoning, not a real client's asset. Anyone handing you a real one has a problem.
